A wafer thin mint...

Well that got christmas out the way.

Christmas eve was nice, we took poppy to blaze castle for a play on the swings, sand pit etc and spent the afternoon getting ready for family to arrive on christmas morning.

Christmas day started early and poppy got to empty her stocking the rest of the day was a paper filled chaotic free for all envolving the three of us, my mum, step dad and vics best friend.
Vic did a sterling job on the meal and a good day was had by all.

Boxing day was back to work so I won't bore you with the details.

I hope you all had a great christmas and have a good new year.

Limerick shmimerick.

Ok here's the thing some bright spark came up with the idea of writing a limerick about the person we are buying our secret santa pressie for. In its self this is quite a fun idea, the problem is I can't write them.
So I am offering 1000 soil samples to any one who can think one up for me , here are the details:
her name is kaite
she is a set designer
the show is papa moon
she has 2 kids
a hubby called craig
Hopefully this is enough to get you all started. The 1000 points will go to the one I use and I need it by new years.

cheers all, have fun.

'Twas the night before Christmas...
and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except for the four assholes coming in the rear in standard two-by-two cover formation.'

Ahhh christmas the time for movies, mistletoe and bankrupcy.

Dont you just love it.

Broadmead has turned into it's usual chaos of last min present buying, The christmas show is in full swing and i am finishing early today as i have tomorrow and christmas day off. Unfortunatly i do have to cover 2 shows on boxing day but that should be easy.

Acording to rob i am post even less than him (true possably) so i am going to make a conserted effort to post more after christmas as i dont wish to loose what few remaining readers i have left.
That said this is just a short one to say:

Merry Christmas to you all.

and breath....
Finally a moment to sit and write, as some of you who still read this site may have noticed there has been little or no activity for a few weeks, Well im back.

The last few weeks have been a little busy as it has been the fit up of our christmas show "Aladdin" which was a total balls up from the start, basicly the designer tried to pack too much stuff into our theatre and the set fit up wich normaly takes 2 days ended up taking 4, The Lighting focus had to be done in overnighter number 2 and this...

Had to be wired up in overnighter number 3 the other problem with it was that the Wiring diagram that accompanied the 15 peices (thats how it arrived from the company that built it and had to be bolted together) made no sense. The palace also did not come with any bulbs (for 15K you think they would have supplied bulbs), so after frantic calls to suppliers we managed to source the 1600* bulbs need ed to make it pretty.

It was also discoverd that due to "A design error" the perminent house stood directly below the palace and therefore it would not be able to fly in, The house had to be moved 1ft up stage.
It was however ready for press night and looked wonderful until one of the actors swung the copper water filled pipe to hard and it smashed into the palace taking out a couple of bulbs and the dimmer, not before sending a lovley blue spark up the pipe.

*Tech bit, Total pull of the palace alone is 33000 watts .

The second issue was the tree, this tree to be exact.

Which needed to be wired up with our pre-made wiring loom (which would have made the wiring in a sherman take look easy) and all 82 bulbs added.

Thankfully it all worked.

The list went on. But i wont bore you with the details, needless to say it has been a long couple of weeks and i have not had a lot of time. This has also ment that poor vic has been almost a single mum for the best part of two weeks and been doing everything at home which has, on top of here usual stuff of generaly making sure that poppy and i have food, clothes etc. ment that she has had to sort christmas, which this year involves my mother. Persionaly i dont quite know how she is still standing.

In other news
1. Our dinning table has arrived.
2. My large JR style computer table has been dismantled (Does anyone want to buy a desk by the way) and been replaced with this.
3. Poppys room has gone from strength to this strength with thanks to vic organising someone to come do it.
