Mindless gibberish of a tired mind

So slow I almost stopped.
I have been very busy.
I am trying to sort poppy's room and hopefully have here in there by Christmas (will post some pics this weekend) and that coupled with a massive workload I have had very little time to do much so I thought I would post some items that I heard while listening to local radio yesterday evening.
These are from a very tongue in cheek radio show (done by Steve yabsley) on BBC radio Bristol in the evenings.
Talking points for the evening:
Cows - There not very vocal are they, do you think they should make more of an effort to communicate.
And what goes best with fish fingers?
Monday mime night:
Tonight I will be miming a scene from Samson and deliah
tonight's quiz:
Can you guess who the mystery man is. Clue: He is in control. We will have a penguin to give to the winner.
I love local radio.

One I forgot to post.
Some of you will remember, back in June a was posting tales of my trip to see my dad and I mentioned passing a house doing 70 up the motorway and I promised to post a photo. Well I have just found the photo so here it is.

Better late than never.
Ahhhh lurgie.
Oh dear my phone has the lurgie. It started last week with 3 orange spots on the screen and after a little research I have found that this is a problem with treos and has been nicknamed the "Treo gangrene" because it spreads, And it does. Yesterday it have become about 12 pixels.
So after a frantic search to find the warranty info and several calls to orange to get the number for Palmone UK I spent half an hour on the phone to Palmone UK, talking to a Dutch guy, who was using an American system (tried to ask for my Zip code before realizing and changing it to post code), that got itself stuck in Korean halfway through the conversation. Anyway he was very helpful and it turns out it is still in warranty and they will fix it. Unfortunately I have to send it away and that's going to take 7-10 days.
So I am back to using my bosses old SPV which is a little bit of a come down from the treo but at least it's a phone, and my treo was sent yesterday by royal mail guaranteed next day special delivery so should arrive with them at about this time October 19th 2250, Or is that a little conservative for the post office.
We shall see.

Rant o matic: The remake.
Ok Rant time.
1st is the news and I have but one story that has been bugging me, The following is not an actual headline but gets the gist across.
"KATE MOSS TAKES COKE, POLICE INVESTIGATE TO BRING CHARGES"
My Headline.
"WE REALLY, REALLY, REALLY DON'T GIVE A CRAP, POLICE SHOULD HAVE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO"
Now ok drugs are an issue and the police are doing there job, but come on! Apparently she is going to be arrested if she comes back to England, I don't care! I would rather the police were spending the money they are wasting on trying to charge one coked up supermodel on putting the coppers back on the beat in easton, like we were promised.
2nd is windows media:
Has anyone in the history of windows media player got it to download a codex on it's own, Anyone, at all, ever. I download a movie file, open it and get the message "Downloading codex" quickly followed by "Error downloading codex" and a pop up window telling me I cant watch the movie.
Where I gods name do you find these things, If the bloody program trying to run them cant find them how the hell am I supposed to. There like the blinking golden fleece you have to gather a crew of 12 stout men and set off on a mystical voyage, fight mighty beasts, complete mind bending puzzles just to get hold of that precious codex.
Even the sodding Microsoft website doesn't have them, I have come to the conclusion that they don't actually exist and that it is all a con but if anyone out there has any other ideas I would be glad to hear them.
additionally Why cant WMP leave your albums where they are all nicely sorted. Why when you ask it to search for music does it insist that 90% of your music go in an "Unknown" folder, IT'S NOT SODDING UNKNOWN.
It's in a folder.
Just one album.
Marked with the album name.
And the artist name.
And contains all the tracks.
Why must it take the tracks out of the folder, mix them up with others and stick them in this folder. I have tried every possible permutation but WMP will not stop doing it. It drives me up the wall, no other music program has this issue.
Ok rant over comments can start now.

Update on life.
Ok lets start with my life.
I finally finished tech week on Saturday, After a long and arduous week the show is ready and opens tomorrow night. So looking forward to a weekend of sorting the house I got home on Saturday afternoon feeling a little queasy but putting it down to lack of sleep, HOW WRONG I WAS!
5pm Gut wrenching, eye popping vomiting and Vic, later that evening, Nuff said. So Sunday was spent sitting around feeling sorry for myself and letting vic catch up on some sleep while poppy who is thankfully unaffected turned our living room into something the resembled an explosion in toys r us (how do you get your keyboard to do a mirror r).
Well it was back to work today, feeling a little better but having done nothing I wanted to do over the weekend.
On a lighter note Poppy is settling in to her new home but is still a little unsure of here surroundings so is making her self known to all the unknown things by rampaging around shouting at the top of her little lungs. Also stairs have become an issue, She refuses to go down stairs backwards and insists on trying to walk down them like her parents. This is becoming a little dogey as we now have loads more stairs but some progress has been made by getting her to sit on the top step and bump down them on her bottom although this does still require some supervision.
Her signing (no she is not deaf but vic and I have been taking her to sing and sign class since she was about 6 months in a bid in increase communication, it has worked) is coming on leaps and bounds and she has added some words (They are there even if a little hidden) to her tenuous vocabulary. She has added What, Where, Bird, Dog, Cat, Elephant, More and Finished to her signs and Dog, Dirt (had before but now dirt rather the ert), up, Hello (comes out E OH, I blame the teletubbies), and bye.
Vic on the other hand is feeling a little strained due to the fact the I haven't been here all week and she has been looking after a manic child and trying to bring a minor part of normality to our boxed lives.
So now tech week is over we can try to start sorting our house out.
That's all for now as I need a good night's sleep, see y'all.

Excuses, excuses.
Ok I'm going to keep this short. Due to the following reasons I am being sporadic in my posting this week.
- Lack of sleep due to: Moving house, a fit up and tech week.
- The long list of things I have to do when I get home and 10pm each night.
- Working in both the main house and covering the studio.
- The installation of free cable.
- The inability to concentrate on anything for more than about 5 mins due to all of the above.

I'm BAAACK.
Hi all, I'm back online.
Well lots to tell the move went well (I defiantly advocate paying people to move for you it saves a lot of hassle) Although I was still packing at the 11th hour, The movers arrived at 8.30am and by 12pm all was loaded and gone we got the keys at 1.30 and were all moved in by 5.30. Friday eve was spent cleaning (the new place was in a horrid state), setting up poppy's cot and general sorting of stuffs.
Saturday was spent trying to find all those things that you need and were put into random boxes at the last min, Setting up the Computers for the cable guy to sort today, collecting the cat and more cleaning. This was all followed by me going off to work at 5.30pm and doing an overnighter getting home at 6am Sunday morning, at which time I promptly passed out and don't remember a thing till I woke up at 4pm, 2hrs late for work (Slept through my alarm, Vic had gone shopping and my phone was on silent) AHHHHH mad panic and rushed into work for the final 2hrs.
Back home Sunday evening for a lovely take away with vic and her sister (who had come up for Friday and ended up staying till today which was a help because she cleaned like a daemon and made the transition easier for vic).
Monday, 8.15am off to work. Cable guy turned up on time (3pm) to check the broadband and telephone and to install our free cable box (wooohooo special deal for staying with them I get free cable telly for a year), 5pm get a call from vic telling me all the power had gone out. Turns out it had gone out to most of Bristol, don't know what's going on there.
Any hoo got back this eve at 10.30 and now I am going to bed as I have to start the whole work process again tomorrow morning, But first a big thanks to all those who wished us well on the move and a special message to Edmund "I haven't forgotten your lovely message and will call you as soon as I out of tech week hell".
Have a good night all and will post more soon.
