Life as we know it.
My life has been a little hectic for the last few weeks hence the lack of posts of a personal nature, so I thought I would tell you all about it.
Since December we have been doing Alice in wonderland but thankfully that is over and gone, 75 shows in two months. I'm knackered. Well I now have a little respite because we have the kneehigh in doing the Bacchae and they have there own opp so it is just cover, which means sitting watching telly in the green room for 2hrs while the show is on. While that is all going ahead we are getting ready for the Oddesy which is happening in the round (seating on all sides) and all that we have to do is make the Cyclops eye, so the next couple of weeks before the fit up should be nice and relaxing.

It's the little things!
It is interesting how the little things effect your life, while Stood at the bus stop this morning I did some quick calculations.
To get the bus to work for 9am I get the bus at 8.30am.
Before 9 it costs me £3.10 return.
To get the bus at 9 it costs me £2.40 return.
So that means that if I could start work at 9.30am it would save me £140 a year (I only work 10 months of the year) in bus fare alone.
Also to get to work for 9 I get up at 7, if I were to get the bus at 9 I would get 1/2 hr extra in bed. Which works out as 100hrs extra sleep a year.
What a gip.

Things to make life easier.
For those times when you think if only....
- Teleporters
- Shoes that did themselves up.
- Busses that ran on time.
- miniature directional EMP generators (I hate people who think I want to hear the music they are playing in there car)
- A version of windows that worked.
- Human beings at the end of phones instead of those F***ing machines.
- Washing machines that loaded themselves.
- Houses with a pneumatic pipe work system (like the ones in banks and supermarkets for moving cash around) for laundry and stuff.
- Newspapers that actually printed the true story.
- An anti moron chip: The moment you get pissed and try to start a fight it releases all bladder and bowel control, The moment you get into your SUV it causes complete paralysis from the waist down and if you ever put on a white Kappa tracksuit combined with a wet look loose perm (girls) or baseball cap (boys) you become sterile.
Feel free to add your own I will update the list the more ideas I get.

Boxes.
Ok it has been declutter time at casa del J and I am now surrounded by boxes. Vic and I have decided to put the flat on the market in April and so we have started sorting stuff (this may be a mistake). This is in a vain attempt to shrink the amount of stuff we have about the house to a sensible size and to also bring it within the guide lines of EU guides for landfill sites.
This does however mean I have had to venture into THE LOFT, Imagine a cross between Ali baba's cave and explosion in a junk shop and you have a vague likeness of our loft. It's not that it's untidy it is just that vic and I are both horders and have a vast quantity of crap.
Anyway after dragging boxes out of the loft yesterday we proceeded to start sorting them which consists of me pulling an item out of the box, deciding if I want to keep it, asking vic if she wants to keep it, listening to the history of the item (if it is hers) and then packing it back into another box. Well after a day of this I am now surrounded by boxes in varying degrees of packedness (don't know if that's a word) and still have a shit load more to pull out of the loft (I can see I am still going to be doing this next January).
During this sort I did however come across some interesting items, My old "stay puffed" marshmallow man (ghostbusters) thermos, two beautiful diaries of travels written in 1935 (I may post some entry's), My photos of me in India (I was 7, I may post some at some point), Vic's Rubber (eraser) collection (she has hundreds, we thought it was lost in the great move from Cornwall 7 years ago), and some stuff that we have decided is going to auction. So all in all a rather productive day, It has also made me wonder what other things may be hiding up there, I will keep you informed.

My day off.
I have a day off today and vic is away visiting here niece, so I intend to sit and do bugger all. I am however going to watch the entire first and second series of spaced and also series 6 of red dwarf.
I am also going to finish the bottle of Saumur brut that we opened last night (well it will go off otherwise).
So I will post again when I recover.
Reasons not to go out.
On Monday, The day after boxing day, A bank holiday.
It is not wise to go to a retail park to get a new battery for your car, because the car park looks like this and the retail park looks like this.
The reason for this is that next are having there sale and bargains are to be had, Fucking nutters.
Just thought I would share.
