Salty goodness.
Salt is now bad for you, according to the Big slug on TV. Well we all new it really didn't we.
But it does make me wonder.
Back in 98 Edwina curry told us how eggs were bad for us now there not, so what else is bad for us?
I compiled a little list.
Cigarettes: weren't bad for us now they are.
Alcohol: Bad for us, worse in fact than cigarettes but given a better press, apart from wine.
Caffeine: Bad for us (Sorry kel) unless it is in tea then it appears to be good for us.
Sugar: Bad for us
Salt: bad for us
Wine: bad for us then good for us.
Red meat: bad for us (although I couldn't find much convincing information on this).
Cheese: bad for us.
Ok this is getting depressing I have to go clean out my kitchen.
My attitude is all in moderation.
Enjoy your dinner.

Sound of music.
What's your life soundtrack?
An odd question I know but consider this for every movie there is a music soundtrack, For instance somebody snowboarding there's a music track that goes over the top.
Well I am currently thinking of mine and will try and post it in a couple of days, but I am also interested in what other people might think.
So here is the challenge:
1. Think of ten things that you do during the day (these could be anything, Driving etc.).
2. Think of ten tracks of music that you would have playing over them in a movie of your life.
3. Comment them here.
The best one will get 500 points and maybe a CD.
Have fun.

Life ponderings.
What is life all about eh!
I suppose people have been asking that question for a long time but it still holds up.
Where does all the time go, The day poppy was born was also my 10 year anniversary of being with Vicky and yet it seems like only yesterday that we met. I remember it all so clearly all the tears, all the screaming matches, all the laughs. You see since Vicky and I have been together there has been a lot hurdles. Breakdowns, Vicky losing both her parents, reconciling with my father, Losing some good friends along the way and gaining some good ones, through it all though we have managed to stay strong and have some laughs and that makes it all worth while.
But sometime I do wonder where all the time has gone and also what is still to come.
I really should stop listening to Nina Simone.

Another review.
Who is Artemis Fowl?
Criminal mastermind, Computer and technological wizz, Genius and all before his 13th birthday.
Artemis Fowl is the last in the Fowl Dynasty, With his father missing presumed dead and his mother withdrawn from the world his only companion is his bodyguard Butler.
Captain Holly short, Newly appointed to the LEP-Recon force. Eager, impulsive and she may be about to meet her match.
And it could cost a lot more than a few bars of gold.
There are three main books in the series. Artemis Fowl, The Arctic Incident and the Eternity code. Even thought the books are set one after another they have just as much to offer read as individuals.
The books, originally written for children have become widely read by adults as well, They are easy going and funny with a pleasant writing style. Erin Colfer captures the world of the people fantastically and creates wonderful images for the imagination, For adults they allow your mind to wander into childhood innocence and for children they allow there minds to flourish into fantasy.
"Tracking down a fairy in order to steal their gold is no easy task. But after four months of stakeout, Artemis Fowl and his manservant Butler are about to strike it lucky...
Butler checked the porta-radar, muting the volume in case the equipment betrayed their position. The red arm swept the screen with agonizing lethargy, and then ... flash! An upright figure by the tree. Too small for an adult, the wrong proportions for a child. He gave Artemis the thumbs up. Possible match.
Artemis nodded, strapping the mirrored sunglasses across his brow. Butler followed his lead, popping the cap on the weapon's scarlet scope. This was no ordinary dart rifle. It had been specially tooled for a Kenyan ivory hunter, and had the range and rapid-fire capacity of a Kalashnikov. Butler had picked it up for a song from a government official after the ivory poacher's execution.
They crept into the night with practiced silence. The diminutive figure before them unhooked a contraption from around its shoulders, lifting a full-face helmet from a definitely non-human head. Butler wrapped the rifle strap twice around his wrist, pulling the stock into his shoulder. He activated the scope and a red dot appeared in the centre of the figure's back. Artemis nodded and his manservant squeezed the trigger.
And in spite of million to one odds, it was at that precise moment the figure bent low to the earth.
Something whizzed over Holly's head, something that glinted in the starlight. Holly had enough on-the-job experience to realize that she was under fire, and immediately curled her elfin frame into a ball, minimizing the target.
She drew her pistol, rolling towards the shelter of the tree trunk. Her brain scrambled for possibilities. Who could be shooting at her and why?" - An exert from Artemis fowl.
At 304, 288 and 336 pages long respectively, they make a great bus and bedtime story book, I urge you all to pick up a copy.
Enjoy

Madness over.
Thanks to rob my Excel formula now works and he now has 200 extra points.
And my head is now in a slightly better place as well. Last weekend was spent at my fathers which was a little emotional.
To cut a long story short and without to much detail, My parents divorced when I was 7 and I was bought up by my mum and had a rocky relationship with my father as a result, until I was about 14 when I told him I didn't want to hear from him again. Then at 15 I started up a relationship with him but it has never been great. I'm now 26 and a lot of the traumas of the past have been put behind me, but for my father some things have never been settled so last weekend was a bit of a bridge builder and I glad I did it as I want Poppy to have a good relationship with her grandfather and also I needed to resolve some things myself.
So there we have it.
On the home front poppy is over her cold and we are making a tentative start on the weaning process, which is going well as she seems quite happy to nosh on some baby rice.
Will post some more photos soon.
Check ya later.
